1. Dr. Peter Steinke was the Keynote Speaker at the 2014 TIIMSA Gathering, April 29 – May 1, held at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Houston, Texas. The meeting included learning in workshops and fellowship among folks interested in Transitional/Intentional Interim Ministry Specialists.
2. Dealing with the topic of “New World + Old Church = ?” was ministry expert, Dr. Peter L. Steinke, a congregational systems consultant and ordained Lutheran (ELCA) pastor. His presentations included dealing with anxious church systems and becoming a well-differentiated person.
3. The presentation by Dr. Steinke, a popular consultant and trainer, captivated the audience with stories about churches in conflict and how they found healing. Other workshops on interim ministry themes were also offered during the Gathering.
4. Along with time beyond the plenaries and workshops for fellowship and worship, there was a brief session to deal with the business of TIIMSA, led by the Chair, Dr. Suzan Carter, a Texas Conference Intentional Interim Ministry Specialist.
5. The 2014 Gathering in Houston concluded with a service of worship and Holy Communion: “The bread is broken for the life of the world! The gift of God for the people of God!”
