Meet David Olson!
David Olson, originally from Chicago, now resides in Dubuque, Iowa where he finished his career as the Director of Secondary Education for the Dubuque Community School District. David attended Illinois State University and Northern Illinois University for a BS in Ed and MS in Ed. Leadership. David’s work in education has included starting an alternative school in Illinois, leading the first Expeditionary Learning four year high school in the U.S. (in Dubuque), and working with systems change and the professional development needed to move people to new ways of believing and acting within systems. David has helped schools, and most recently the Dubuque Human Rights Commission, develop vision and strategic planning to accomplish goals that often seem hard to reach. David interests in “home” led him to begin flipping a foreclosed house which you can view on Facebook searching “Kaufmann Cottage.” His interest in the natural world resulted in in being selected for the 2018 Garden Tour in Dubuque.
