Our purpose is to advance intentional interim ministry in The United Methodist Church by developing policies and approving curriculum, training, and continuing education for TIIMS practitioners and trainers.
We train experienced pastors to enter congregations at a time of transition or stress in their life and begin a structured visioning/healing process.
We resource trained clergy with an Annual Gathering and additional resources.
We build a community to assist and support one another beyond formal training.
We work with official United Methodist processes to certify practitioners of this ministry.
We welcome you to our website and invite you to expand the blessing of intentional ministry as it builds on the disciplined ministry foundation of our denominational beginnings.

• trains TIIMS (Transitional Intentional Interim Ministry Specialists),
• builds community among TIIMS, and
• transforms local churches by repairing foundations and expanding horizons.

TIIMSA Bylaws updated in 2026
As our United Methodist Church continues to discern, plan and adapt to the rapid changes both in our denomination and in our culture, our TIIMSA Board of Directors has also been discerning, planning and adapting. We have refined our Mission and Vision to clarify our purpose and primary work (see our Welcome to TIIMSA webpage), and we recently approved revised and updated the TIIMSA Bylaws on August 11, 2026, that you can read HERE.
